Founder & Artistic Director
Dancer, teacher, researcher and choreographer, trained in the Kalakshetra tradition.

“For Srushti, Bharatanatyam is not simply a dance form. It is a way of understanding movement, music, emotion and the human experience.”
Her journey in Bharatanatyam began at the age of seven, laying the foundation for a lifelong engagement with the art form. Years later it led her to the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, where she completed her graduation and post-graduation in Bharatanatyam, immersed in the rigorous discipline and aesthetic of the Kalakshetra tradition.
Her practice extends beyond the stage. Her training includes Nattuvangam, Carnatic music and Kathakali, alongside an academic background in Psychology, which continues to shape how she understands expression, emotion and storytelling in dance.

Her aim is to create dancers who understand the grammar, discipline, aesthetics and soul of Bharatanatyam, and who eventually find their own artistic voice within the tradition.
Classical dance demands more than technique. It calls for:
Her work is ultimately an exploration of one enduring idea: how an ancient art form can continue to speak deeply, beautifully and meaningfully to the present.
